Compulsory Beep Test/ Summer Programme collection

Congratulations to all those players who completed the compulsory BEEP test to date!!  (Results will be posted shortly on the noticeboard outside Mr van Dyk's office.)


The next opportunity to do the test is Monday, 17 October at 2:30pm on court 4...


The onus is on you to arrive and complete it.
It should take around 15 mins so one can attend other committments thereafter.

The purpose of the test is to measure your current aerobic fitness ability level.  The test will be repeated in February next year.  We will then compare your two scores and determine whether you have made an effort to stay fit in the holiday.

We are serious about Netball fitness at Stellies and expect you to take ownership of your own fitness in the off-season.

In this regard, I have compiled two programmes to be followed in the off-season, concentrating on aerobic endurance and strength/agility.  (Read the other article on the blog regarding off-season activities one can participate in.)

These programmes can be collected from the sports office or myself at the summer fitness sessions on Mondays and Thursdays from 2.30 - 3.30pm on court 4.

To date we have 2 league winners (U16 C and U16 F), 3 silver medallists and we await the result of the U16D

team’s rematch on Thursday at Bellville High school at 3pm!!

 

The U14 A team were unbeaten in the league before the top 4 play-offs! 

The U19A’s were placed first and the U16A’s second at the end of the Super League matches.

.

The U19A team played De Kuilen twice before Saturday’s final and beat them in both encounters.

After a nailbiting match it ended in extra time and we eventually lost by 2 goals.

 

The U16 C team were gracious in their victory!!! Congrats ladies!

 

All the Stellies teams delivered outstanding performances indeed and must be praised for making it to the finals.
